Since 1922, Camp Cosby has been providing campers with a unique experience, setting the standard of excellence in resident camping through a variety of programs and activities. Our beautiful location provides campers and staff with an excellent opportunity to appreciate the natural environment and have fun while doing it. Our year-round facilities, amongst the finest in the Southeast, are blessed with 135 acres of woods and 2 1/2 miles of magnificent lake front.

Camp counseling is a demanding but exciting and adventerous job with unlimited rewards. In addition to food, lodging, and salary compensation, the personal rewards gained from working with young people in a resident camp environment are tremendous.

YMCA Camp Cosby, (located in Alpine, AL), is currently adding to our family of staff and we want you to join us! We are looking for junior and senior counselors interested in taking part in our equestrian program.

Responsible to the Equestrian Director, a riding instructor will plan for and effectively supervise campers participating in our speciality horseback riding program as well as main camp trail rides.

This position requires:
 - Ability to work hard in an outdoor environment
 - Desire to work with and relate to children
 - Experience with riding and caring for horses
 - Good role model, high integity, reliability
 - At least 17 years of age
 - Willingness to accept supervision and guidance
