This video shows two Norwegian Fjord horses being "driven", meaning they are pulling a wagon with riders. Their skill in turning sharply and obeying commands is amazing. Of the two women driving the horses, one is issuing commands and telling the horses when to turn, and the other is using her weight to balance the wagon and help it turn sharply between the obstacles. It looks slow in the video, but in real life it was very fast-paced. Everyone cheered loudly for the Norwegian Fjords and their handlers when they finished this demonstration. This is for my horse that I sold on May 4th 2007. You're gone but never forgotten. I miss you more and more each day! I just wish for the day that we could still be together. You were my first horse and out of my stupidity.. you're gone. I'm sorry girl. I know you're probably happy in your new home but I just wish you were still here. It was so hard to see you go. I remember waiting for the people to come and pick you up so you could be shipped to your new home. I couldn't seem to give you enough hugs, kisses or goodbyes. I sat down by your side while you ate your last meal in your pasture. I was starting to realize how hard it was going to be without you. All kinds of thoughts were racing through my head the whole time and I kept wondering WHY you had to go. When the people finally arrive, you were still eating and they took you away from your food and walked you into the trailer. You looked back at me...and I stood in that trailer with you every moment that I could. I gave you one last kiss and I petted you on the nose.. then they drove off and I knew that it just wasn't going to be the same without you...I almost fell to my knees and broke down in tears in the middle of the road as you were leaving. From the moment you left, I've had a broken heart and I'm not sure that it will ever heal. I will always remember you and I think about you every day. We will meet again someday girl.. I miss you...

Dislikes: Tarps...and anything that looks like, sounds like, or remotely reminds him of a tarp. Kjor Liberty (Frihet): 5 y.o. mare (Kjor Uffda x Kjor Kjersten) Likes: Plotting her next trick from behind her long forelock, loping around the perimeter of the property, and rubbing her nose all over cats. Dislikes: Baths and flyspray (but she loves playing in water).. we're working on that! Kate-10 y.o. breeding stock paint mare Likes: OATS. OATS OATS OATS... and the salt block Dislikes: Kappy constantly schmoozing on her (2 other fjord mares and he thinks his girlfriend should be a paint ;) ) BDF Kapprell (Kappy): 14 y.o. gelding (Gjest x Uloza) Likes: BEING SCRATCHED (he has sweet itch), wearing his fly sheet and mask, jumping, and driving cones courses! Dislikes: Being itchy, Ulf, not getting his treats right away when the saddle/harness comes off. Zjeena-10 y.o. mare (Hostar x Hella) Likes: Rolling in the sand of the round pen,and having everyone admire how pretty she is. Dislikes: Waiting for her dinner! This is a portion of the Open Log Skid Class at the 2007 Midwest Fjord Horse Show in Blue Earth, MN. The goal is to not hit or run over the cones! The cones are supposed to simulate trees.
